In 2008 I rode a standard Honda Gp 125 in the
Thundersport GB and Emra and a few other various club rounds. This bike
was completely standard but still cost £4,500! This was prepped by Mark
Keen of KRP. I raced this throughout out the year and finished:
2nd in the Gp3 Cup
3rd in the Gp3 overall (inc. tuned bikes)
2nd in the ACU Clubmans
And also 4th in the EMRA 125gp class despite missing several rounds.
In 2009 we bought a “Kitted” bike which set us back
in excess of £9500, I raced this in the British 125 championship under
the Taboo Motorsport banner with manager/rider Michael Hill. I finished
5th overall in the ACU Academy Cup. I did two Thundersport GB
rounds and finished 1st twice and 2nd twice.
In 2010 I am again racing in the British 125GP
Championship, but this year under my own banner: Tom Weeden Racing. I am
looking to finish in the top 3 in the Academy Cup (for under 17s) and
also to be a regular top 10 runner in the overall British Championship.
